Solar Energy Storage

Solar energy that receives in the surface of the earth is subject to be unsteady and discontinuous affected by factors such as climate, day and night and season. Therefore, it is very necessary to store the solar energy in particular in large scale.

Solar energy is not likely to be stored directly other than by converting into other types of energy. It has proved difficulty in technology to store solar energy in heavy capacity, long term period and economically. Awareness of storage issues was not taken in account for solar energy device built in the early of the century. Now the storage technologies of solar energy are not mature and are tapping in a slow pace. The research work remains to be enhanced.
