Hydrogen
Storage
The
keys to any fuel storage are: Safety, Ease or
efficiency of storage/retrieval. Any energy source
that is intermittent in nature (such as the Sun)
requires storage of that energy for later usage.
As a fuel, Hydrogen can be stored as a gas or
liquid in a container. It is so light weight that
a cubic foot of gas weighs just .005 lbs.

Hydrogen
Production
Hydrogen
energy belongs to the secondary energy. On the
Earth where the human beings depend upon for life,
although hydrogen is the richest element, the
natural hydrogen exists extremely few. Therefore,
the hydrogen gas can be obtained after possessing
the hydrogen-contained matters. The richest hydrogen-contained
matter is water (H2O), next is various fossil
fuels (i.e. coal, petroleum, natural gas) and
biomass. So in order to develop and utilize this
ideal clean energy, it is necessary to exploit
the hydrogen resources, that is to research and
develop the diverse hydrogen production methods.

Fuel
Cell Principles
Fuel
cells are simply devices that convert fuel (such
as hydrogen, methane, propane, etc.) directly
into D.C. electricity. The process is an electrochemical
reaction that is similar to a battery. Unlike
the battery though, fuel cells do not store the
energy with chemicals internally. Instead, they
use a continuous supply of fuel (chemical) from
an external storage tank.
